Birth rate in Malaysia.


This entry gives the average annual number of births during a year per 1,000 persons in the population at midyear; also known as crude birth rate.
žThe birth rate is usually the dominant factor in determining the rate of population growth. It depends on both the level of fertility and the age structure of the population.



FACTORS AFFECTING BIRTH RATE

1- Natalism_ is a belief that promotes human reproduction.

2- Family planning_ Planning of when to have children and the use of birth control. Usuallyfemale-male couple wish to limit the number of children they have or to control the timing of pregnancy(known as ‘spacing children’).

3- Infant mortality_ the number of deaths of infants. It has became the most common cause of infant mortality.

4- Urbanization_ place where money, service and wealth are centralized. Physical growth of urban areas from rural areas. As the result,more people are going for entertainment rather than to have family.

5- Age of marriage_ for Malaysia- the age of marriage is 21. 18 with parental consent, 16 for female with special marriage license.

6- Conflict_ can be internal(within oneself) or external(between 2 or more individuals).
žConflict is actual/perceived opposition of needs,values and interests.



Prediction.

This decreasing birth rate will continues. Cause by the factors.
